WW1 Imperial Mauser M84/98 Pattern Bayonet, the blade is maker marked Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen Foche, with the pyramid trademark on one side on the other side is a knight in armour on a running horse, this is the Bayard trademark and comes from the famous knight Le Bayard of the middle ages,

The spine is stamped W16 (indicating 1916 manufacture) the pommel has an inspection stamp with the crown over the W which denotes Prussian ownership, the scabbard has a dent to the rear which I have tried to detail in the images although it does not deter the bayonet from fitting or closing, FOR SALE IN THE UK ONLY, OVER 18′s ONLY

German Feuerwehr/Feuerschutzpolizei Dress Bayonet (Seitengewehr) For ceremonial wear by a fireman and worn with his walking out uniform (evening dress) manufactured by Eickhorn of Solingen,

This is a complete rig comprising of bayonet, leather frog and troddel (knot) the blade is nice, scabbard shows traces of use but most of the original paint remains, nice black leather belt frog, the nickel plate has been absorbed over time evenly (not wear) on the hilt and the cross guard, grips are perfect with no cracks or chips and the original brown leather blade washer is in place, and to complete the rig it comes with the fire/police troddel although this has become fragile on the strap, this one made by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen and has the Eickhorn trademark of a left facing squirrel holding an acorn
